Therapy Services
I provide therapy using secure video conferencing. This allows for flexibility in scheduling and allows me to serve a wide variety of people with different schedules. It’s also particularly helpful when working with couples when they can’t be in the same location during a session.
I am currently a private pay, out-of-network provider. While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means they will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost.
I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you only have to pay a co-pay for our sessions once you meet your deductible instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursement. This typically allows clients to save on average 70% on our sessions. During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-pay would be.
I also provide a discount to my hourly rate for monthly subscription plans where you pre-pay for how many sessions you’d like to use in a month, as listed below.

How to Choose Cash vs. Insurance for Counseling:
It is important to understand a few things when choosing to use your insurance for mental health services.
First, in order for insurance to cover this treatment, it must be deemed "medically necessary" in order to treat the disorder that is diagnosed and reported to the insurance company.
Second, when seeking psychotherapy services that are being submitted to your insurance company, you will be forming a medical record of your status and treatment. This information can then be requested by other insurance policies you apply for, and other entities if required by their policies. Many people do not have concerns about this, or complications with it either, but it is important for you to be informed.
Third, when paying cash for psychotherapy sessions, there is more confidentiality in the sense that insurance companies do not have access to the record, your diagnosis, or your treatment.
Finally, when paying cash for psychotherapy sessions, no diagnosis is required and you have more freedom to focus on the issues of your choice, such as your work, relationship, personal growth, etc.
